Regional Training Course on Climate-Smart Agriculture Concludes at NIAB Faisalabad
The 10-day Regional Training Course on Developing Climate-Smart Agriculture Using Nuclear and Isotopic Techniques concluded at NIAB Faisalabad. Organized by NIAB in collaboration with the IAEA, the course hosted 45 participants from 21 countries and featured theoretical sessions, hands-on training, and field visits. Dr. Masood Iqbal of PAEC highlighted the role of nuclear technology in achieving the SDGs and improving agricultural resilience. He noted that PAEC's research institutes have developed 159 climate-smart crop varieties. IAEA officials praised the successful organization of the course and emphasized the importance of international collaboration in addressing climate-related agricultural challenges.
